ViroStatics Flow Cytometry Unit

ViroStatics scientists have designed flow-cytometry based multi-parametric assays to monitor the therapeutic effects of AV-HALTs and therapeutic vaccines.  These approaches are a critical component of monitoring our clinical trials and also allow Immunacia to perform effective screening of new AV-HALT drug candidates.

The ViroStatics Flow Cytometry Unit is equipped with state-of-art instrumentation including the high-end BD LSR-II flow cytometer capable of providing simultaneous analyses for up to 14 parameters from a single sample.





BD LSR II



Three lasers (405nm,488nm,635nm) / 5 lasers max 14 PMTs : FS, SS, 3FL(405), 6FL(488), 3FL(635) /20 PMT max 12 color analysis, 5-decades digital acquisition, 12x12 compensation matrix /18 colors max. DiVa 6.1 software.
Applications:
- Two 12-color phenotyping (up to 18 colors in 4 -5 laser configuration)
- Multiparametric proliferation assays
- Multiparametric cell cycle analysis
- Mitochondrial potential measurements IC cytokine detection
- Multiparametric analysis of apoptosis
- Precise detection of rare cell subsets (iNKT, Th17, Ag spec. T cells)



Coulter Epics XL-ADC



One laser (488nm), 6 PMTs : FS,SS, 4FL 4 color analysis, 4 decades semi-digital acquisition, 4x4 compensation matrix Expo 32 ADC software.
Applications:
- Two-, 3- or 4-color phenotyping (FITC, PE,PE-TexRed,PE-Cy5)
- Proliferation assays (CFSE dilution, BrdU, KI67)
- Cell cycle analysis
- Mitochondrial potential measurements
- IC cytokine detection
- Analysis of apoptosis (AnnexinV-7AAD)
- Multiplex assays (CBA)

ViroStatics is now ready to provide the full range of flow cytometry analytical services to external groups on a "fee for service" basis.
