PHPC Assay
ViroStatics scientists have developed novel biomarker assays to document beneficial changes in key immunological responses against viral pathogens during therapy. One such test, an assay for memory T-cells (Precursors with High Proliferative Capacity) has demonstrated that increased numbers of these functional T-cells correlates with the immune system's ability to control HV replication. The test holds promise as a tool to evaluate immunotherapies (including AV-HALTs, vaccines and targeted immune amplification strategies) in the treatment of HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases. The Company is looking to partner to successfully commercialize our novel diagnostic assays for both research and clinical applications.
